I am a third-year PhD student, and my work focuses on the economic, social, and legal histories of modern China and Japan. My current project is a transnational study of changing dispute resolution practices in 19th and early 20th century China, Taiwan, and Japan.
Prior to arriving at Yale, I received an Honours Bachelor of Arts in History and International Relations from Trinity College, University of Toronto and was a Shanghai Government Scholar at Fudan University in Shanghai. I then spent a year debating a variety of topics on a local Shanghai TV station.
For the 2018-2019 academic year, I will be serving as a Legal History Fellow at the Law School.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.
