John D’Amico appointed Assistant Professor at the Center for Integrated Japanese Studies at Tohoku University

John D’Amico completed his Ph.D. in May of 2024 and has been appointed Assistant Professor at the Center for Integrated Japanese Studies at Tohoku University.  His article, “The making of paper money in early modern Japan,” was recently published in The Economic History Review, and a Japanese-language article on moneylending, gangsters, and local society in early modern Japan has also just appeared in the journal Rekishi.
