Historiographical Institute Guide to Yale's Premodern Japanese Books and Manuscripts

From 2010 to 2015, a team of scholars from the Historiographical Institute at Tokyo University, led by Professor Kondō Shigekazu, conducted a comprehensive study of the Yale University Library’s extensive collections of pre-20th century Japanese materials. The full report of their findings, including annotated catalogs and explanations of individual items, can be found here.
